Sent from Bagehot at 51 Lombard Street. Bagehot refers to marriage preparations, informs Eliza that she might arrange things as she wishes but asks if his cousin Mary Watson Bagehot might be a bridesmaid, expresses his wish that she return from Edinburgh and his dubiousness over the benefit of Mr Beveridge's treatment, mentions a journey from Aberdeen to Edinburgh on the packet, expresses his appreciation of the Scottish landscape, informs her that he will take his father to visit her father at Claverton so they can meet.
