Includes photocopies and original documents mainly relating to the work of the National Union of Agricultural Workers (NUAW). Includes an obituary for Zachariah Bemrose; an article about a proposed strike apparently 'ignored' by farm workers; a short report about the composition of agricultural workers and agriculture in Britain; letters and other documents relating to agricultural wages and the future of British agriculture; an essay on the beginnings of the trade union movement in Britain and an essay entitled 'Village Life - The Countryside, Yesterday and To-day'. There are also notes relating to the Agricultural Occupancy Conditions with reference to [Homes] for Agriculture as well as notes relating to the Agricultural Wages Board; a memorandum to the Executive Committee on Agriculture and the Common Market by the NUAW (July 1961) and photocopies of press cuttings covering the harvest strikers in Holderness in September 1920.
