Subjects photographed included aspects relating to the natural environment including trees, flowers, gardens and school grounds whilst specific locations included the old pier, the marina and Queens Garden's in Hull, Flamborough Head, Withernsea beach, Beverley, Walkington Pond, Skipsea Sands, Hornsea Mere, Gowdall (six months after the floods) and a notice about foot and mouth at Goodmanham.

There were numerous photographs relating to the built environment including churches, the Humber Bridge, railway station, the M62, the town centre. Specific locations featured include Bridlington, Market Weighton and North Ferriby, Skidby Mill, the Old Blacksmith's shop in Goole, Beverley Minister, Hull marina, The Deep and the Humber Bridge, the opening of the new ferry terminal at Hull, Pocklington, and Drax power station.
