- Description:
- From Howard Sergeant to Roger Elkin; HS assures RE he has no need for concern about 'Poets and Painters' and Prospice, warns RE about his involvement yet again; discusses the Peterloo Competition and results of recent competitions, muses inadequate, biased adjudication by Harry Chambers - who knows authors ahead of time; HS confirms his reading fee for Leek, and will be bringing Jean after RE's invitation, therefore unsure how they are travelling to Leek; HS has four reading engagements and the adjudication report of the Kent & Sussex Poetry Society, received invite for vice-presidency; HS will be running a poetry workshop for 'disabled-bodied' people, members of the 'Winged Fellowship', at Chichester; HS muses on their difficulties and compares them to poets who he feels are very self-centred and complain a lot about not much; HS has been writing children's poetry, one was a runner-up in the Humberside Competition, others for anthologies; RE: keep writing.
