From Jean Sergeant to Roger Elkin; Jean & Howard's daughter Cherrill is now married; expresses delight regarding Roger's award; Jean writes about Roland John initiating a grant from Marks & Spencer to keep the award going, though not completing procedures as he may win the award in the future; the Howard Sergeant Memorial Award committee was Alan Brownjohn, Pamela Clunies Ross, Michael Ivans, and Jean Sergeant; Elizabeth Callendar is at the head office of M&S, and Jean asks Roger, if he writes, to stress the value of the award; Jean is working on reprints from the Outposts Publication series, Caroline Glyn's 'Poems from the Dark, and perhaps Robert Heanley's 'The Streak of Gold', Jean asks if Prospice reviewed them, and Roger's fee for reviewing them if needed.
