Summary of a charter made 14 May 1401 granting water supply and notes on the evidence and depositions, used as evidence in a case brought by Thomas Gray against John Skarthe concerning a dispute over the supply of water to the lordship of Sculcoats from a ditch known as Julian Dike bringing spring water from Darringham well, Julian well, and other springs to Hull, with Gray acting as plaintiff on behalf of John Alred and Skarthe acting as a defendant on behalf of the Mayor and Burgesses of Hull.
