Extracts taken from statutes relevant to cases brought by Matthew Smith and also by John Lightly against Christopher Bolton and Richard Moxon for compensation for the destruction of property in the parish of Holy Trinity during a riot against the press gangs on 24 May 1815 and 31 July 1815. Note that attached to the extracts is a list of defendants' bills and costs and an order for payment to be made by the defendants dated 27 May 1816.
