Richard Sissons, Overseer for Humber Ward; James Hines Clappison, Overseer for Austin Ward; Thomas Richardson Coates, Overseer Trinity Ward; Robert Kirk, Overseer for Whitefriar Ward; James Henwood, Overseer for St. Mary's Ward; William Irving the Younger, Overseer for North Ward; Ralph Musgrave, Overseer for North Myton Ward; George Greenwood, Overseer for South Myton Ward are to authorise and require several Church Wardens and Overseers above named to assess the sum of £9,250, signed John Barkworth, Mayor & Charles [Whit?]. Includes an appointment by the Overseers of sum to be raised of £9,250. Sums levied against each ward is recorded, signed by W.B. Day; Thos. Wilson; John Thornhill; William Whitehead; Clarkson Gleadow; Robert Hepple; Wm. Wetwand; Thos. Peck & Wm. B. Moore, dated Mar 1833. Attached are two letters. The first is to William Dickinson and William Henderson, Assistant Overseers, appointed to collect the several rates and assements made for relief of the poor, signed by John Barkworth, Mayor & Christopher Bolton, dated 4 Apr 1833. The seocnd letter is to certify that William Henderson and William Dickinson are appointed Assistant Overseers, signed Jno. Moxon.
