Prisoner: Thomas Willows
Offence: 1st count on the 9 Jan 1901 unlawfully pretending to one Eleanor Heaton otherwise Shackleton that he had purchased jointly with Mr. J.P Earle of Sheffield, Architect 18 1/2 acres of land on the Hedon Road at Kingston Upon Hull from Creswick and Son of Sheffield at less than 1s a yard the plans of which land he produced and that he had a saleable interest or ownership in the said land and that he had made a contract reselling same at 2s per yard and that the 10 Feb was fixed for completion of sale by means whereof he unlawfully obtained £50 from the said Eleanor Heaton with intent and defraud. 2nd count on the 10 Jan 1901 by means of similar false pretences he claimed £200 from the said Eleanor Heaton with intent to defraud. 3rd count, on the 11 Jan 1901 by means of similar false pretences he obtained a valuable security to wit a promissory note for £250 from the said Eleanor Heaton with intent to defraud. 4th count, The said Thomas Willows was convicted of felony at Lindsey Quarter Sessions on 27 Oct 1891
