Richard Jennison Sissons (1795-1879) joined his elder brother, Thomas senior at Sissons, Weddle & Co in 1810, at the age of 15. He became a co-partner of the company from 1836 until he retired in 1846 (aged 51). Henry William Pickersgill RA (1782 â 1875) was an English painter specialising in portraits. He was a Royal Academician for almost fifty years, and painted many of the most notable figures of his time.
