Letter to the Editor of the Christian Observer from [Ansious] enclosing an unpublished letter of the Rev. W. Romaine to a Christian friend, Mrs [Savington] hoping that the perusal of it may serve, under the Divine blessing, to strengthen and comfort some dejected Christian. The original letter from Rev. Romaine was written from Blackfriars on 27 Nov 1779 and in it he talks primarily about the power of faith in death. William Romaine (1714 –1795) was born in Hartlepool, was evangelical divine of the Church of England and was author of works, the trilogy 'The Life', ' The Walk', and 'The Triumph of Faith'.
