A first hand account by Win Newton of the experiences of a civilian living in Hull during the Second World War. Page 1, the cover page, was not with the collection when it arrived at the History Centre. A precis written by the despoitor provides some backgtround. The account contains descriptions of the many air raids on Hull, the devestation it caused, the progress of the war as well as family and social matters. Also in the account are notes on the Zeppelin raids on Hull during the Forst World War and an exceprt from The Daily Telegrph and Morning Post, titled Phoenix Cities, 30 Jul 1943.
