Admin History:

Mr. R. G. Tarran, Founder and Principal of the firm Tarran Industries Ltd. in Hull, recruited volunteers to the Tarran Artisan Company Royal Engineers, which included some of his own craftsmen, tradesmen, artisans and technicians. A complimentary and farewell dinner took place on the 12th February 1940 and just two days later the company set off to their training quarters for intensive training prior to going overseas to work on the maintenance of lines of communication, etc.
