Eva Thornton Merryweather was born 27 December 1885 in Gilberdyke at the Railway Crossing House and died 28 October 1957. She started working for the General Post Office on 13 December 1915. On August 3rd of that year she moved to 71 Leonard Street, Hull. Eva married George Burnett at All Saints Church in Margaret Street, Hull, on 24 February 1919. Immediately after which she moved to Barnsley.
Description:
Includes photographic postcards of female employees of the General Post Office, and digital copies of an information leaflet issued to employees regarding caring for their boots, as well as a registration card and a thank you letter addressed to Eva Merryweather. A printed copy of the digitised records is included in the hardcopy catalogue available to view in the searchroom.
