Admin History:
Built in 1825 the Corporation Pier was renamed Victoria Pier in honour of the Queen Victoria's visit to Hull in 1854. It was built to provide a a terminus for the Humber ferry which ran between Hull and New Holland until the opening of the Humber Bridge in 1981. Still standing today, Victoria Pier is currently closed owing to safety concerns.
