Admin History:
Hull Amateur Operatic Society was founded in 1897. The Grand Opera House and Theatre opened in 1893 on George Street and in 1930 became a cinema. The Hull New Theatre's origins began 1924 with the Hull Repertory Company, who performed in the Little Theatre, a converted lecture theatre.
