Admin History:
The building is first mentioned in 1676 and is one of the oldest in Anlaby. It was sometimes called the White House. Samuel Lighfoot, a Hull solicitor who had substantial dealings with the Hull Dock Company lived in the house until around 1867. Edward Burwell lived there from 1872. In 1929 Hull City Council bought the estate and the building has since been used as the club house for Springhead Golf Club
