These postcards were formerly in the possession of Harry Robinson. Harry Robinson was born in Hull in 1929. He lived on Alexandra Avenue, off St. Mark's Street. Born Harry Hamilton, he later changed his name by deed poll to that of his partner Audrey Robinson. Harry and Audrey never married though were together for over fifty years up to his death in 2022. Harry recorded his early life in his autobiography, 'the book of Harry'.
Description:

Family postcards acquired by Harry Robinson. Most were sent during World War One, mainly between Harry Robinson's father, Tom Hamilton, his wife Bertha and other members of the family. Harry's father, Tom was in the Merchant Navy during the First World War.
