- These yearly albums were originally presented to former headmaster, S.Leslie Rowland B.A. and given to Hull City Archives by his son. Leslie Rowland was born in Tadcaster in 1914 and came to Hull to teach at Hall Road Primary School after the Second World War. He later spent thirteen years as the headmaster of Fountain Road Boy's School. He then moved to Wyke hall, Bricknell High School for sixteen years and took early retirement in 1976. He was a keen sportsman and as such was a leading figure in both Hull Schools Cricket and Football Associations. After his retirement he served on Hull City Council and Humberside County Council. At the time of his death he was the Deputy Chairman of the Humberside Education Committee. He died in 1979.
