The History Centre has a number of useful research guides relating to the fishing and maritime industries, which are available on our website. Collections relating to the fishing industry include crew lists, (C DPF), various missions to seafarers (e.g. U DMS) and records of trawler companies such as Hellyers (C DBTH) and Hamblings (C DBHB). A search through our online catalogue will produce details of many other items relating to Hull's fishing industry, such as the books entitled 'Good Old Hessle Road' and 'Fishing families of Hessle Road' both by Alec Gill (L.639.22), amongst others.
