- This seriescontains records relating to the Hull Hebrew Transmigration Aid Society, formerly the Hull Hebrew Emigration Philanthropic Society. The first meeting of the Transmigration Aid Society was held 30 Dec 1923. Members of the society included Rev Aarons, Rev Abrahamson, Rev Bergen, Mr M. Bloom, Mr I. Levy, Mr Gordon, Mr Bentley, Mr Albeck, Mr Marks, Mr Miller, Mr Segal, Mr Tisach, Mr Goldstone, Mr Berger, Mr Krotoski, and Mr H. Rosen. Mr Bloom served as Chairman, with Mr M. Miller as Vice-Chairman, Mr I. Levy as Treasurer, and Mr H. Rosen as Secretary. The objectives of the Society were 'to help all Hebrew Transmigrants coming through this city and to assist them on their way and supervise the Kashrus'.
