Copy of a survey of the entrance to the Humber undertaken in 1851–2 by E. K. Calver Master RN with the assitance of E. C. Davidson. The chart has been annotated at an unknown date, likely around the early twentieth century to indicate changes to the Humber foreshore and sand banks. The navigable channel has also been marked, and the positions of sea marks highlighted. It chart includes illustrations of landmarks which may be used by mariners for navigation.
