The folder contains correspondence regarding expenditure by the Humber Conservancy Commissioners on the removal of wrecks from the Humber, the unauthorised deposit of mud and stone in the Humber, and regulations for transporting and storing calcium carbide. The folder also contains a copy of the Explosive Act, 1875; a draft of proposed bye-laws relating to Carbide of Calcium issued by the Board of Trade; and a copy of Humber Conservancy bye-laws relating to the conveyance of explosives (1885).
