Examination, Licence and Certificate Fees Account

Reference No:
C DPD/1/3/3/12/4
Dates:
6 Jan 1937-25 Jul 1955
Description:

A register recording fees collected by the Humber Conservancy Board from Humber and Goole Pilots for taking examinations, and issuing licences and certificates to enable them to operate within the Board's jurisdiction. The register records the name of the pilot in question, where the fees were collected (Hull or Goole), the amount of money received, and the number of licences and certificates issued. In the case of certificates, it is noted whether it is a new grant, a renewal, or whether any alterations have been made to the pilots certificates. If a pilot fails an exam, this is noted in red ink next to the pilot's name.

End of year summaries total up the amount of fees collected for each month, and the total for that particular calendar year. These can be found at the end of the set of entries for any given year. A summary of fees collected in 1936 can be found at the front of the volume.
