Description:: File comprises correspondence between the engineer to the Humber Conservancy Board, the Aire and Calder Navigation, Leeds, and Chance Brothers and Co. Ltd. Smethwick, regarding the possible installation of unattended fog signals, especially in the Upper Humber system. Chance Bros. Ltd. offered to fit a wireless power station based at the Brough office which would control and actuate the signals remotely, as well as fit a diaphone unit onto an attended lightship. Includes operational instructions and reports of the operation of this equipment.
