File comprises correspondence between the Engineer to the Humber Conservancy Board, the Town Clerk, Grimsby, the Port Master, Immingham, Trinity House, London, and the Flying Officer Commandant, Donna Nook, regarding sundry operations within the River Humber system. Includes permission for individuals and companies to break up lighters and other vessels on the foreshore at various locations within the River System, proposed special air firing and live bombing at Donna Nook, fog signals out-of-order at Immingham Dock, flooding at Saltend of the BP and Shell Mex Oil Company’s yard, problems with small boats moored at Hessle Haven, including photographs taken on 6th Oct 1934, etc.
