Description:
File comprises correspondence between the engineer to the Humber Conservancy Board, and to various companies and individuals regarding a variety of topics. Topics include: breaking up various types of vessels, on the foreshore at Hessle, Paull, West Marsh, Grimsby, Toft Newton, South Ferriby, etc. Pyrotechnic demonstrations (which upset the RAF based at North Coates, Grimsby), hopper barge trials in the River Humber instead of the River Trent, the western area sewage scheme, Grimsby, including an outfall from the proposed pyewipe pumping Station, the Hull/Cuxhaven B.A.O.R. leave traffic programme (a large Programme with a lot of correspondence) to the Riverside Quay, Hull, pipeline overhaul and repair at Killingholme, and Saltend, etc.
