- File comprises correspondence between the engineer to the Humber Conservancy Board, the Dock and Harbour Authorities Association, London, the Grimsby Steam Fishing Vessels Co. Ltd, The Hull Steam Trawlers Co. Ltd, the Port Master, Grimsby Docks, the Humber Pilot’s Office, Hull, and the Hydrographer, Admiralty, London, regarding the general regulations and the Humber rules and bye-laws, including the signaling requirements when entering and also within the River Humber system. There had been problems with various trawlers and other vessels system, breaching the bye-laws within the River Humber. There also appears to be problems with the mooring of small coastal tankers near Saltend jetty, as well as near the Hull Pier and the Riverside Quay, Hull.
