- The file consists of internal Humber Conservancy Board correspondence sent between the Engineer (Ralph John Hindmarsh), the Secretary (Herbert Thomas Edwards), the Marine Engineer Superintendent, and the Chief Officer, connected with the operation and maintenance of the buoy yacht 'J. H. Haworth'. This includes correspondence on the payment of allowances and expenses (Special allowances, Weekend Watchman Duties, etc.) to the crew, the temporary use of the vessel as a pilot cutter, and problems with the firebars fitted into the vessel's furnace. Specifications for the dry docking and overhaul of the vessel, dated April 1959 and April/May 1960, can also be found in the file.
