Description:: The file consists of correspondence between the Engineer to the Humber Conservancy Board (Ralph John Hindmarsh), and various shipping and repair companies. The subject matter is the Oil in Navigable Waters Act 1955 and the related Petroleum Bye-laws in force on the Humber (including portions of the Rivers Ouse and Trent, and Goole Docks).
