- Comprises correspondence between the Chief Engineer to the Humber Conservancy Board, various civil engineering contractors and the Nature Conservancy, London, regarding a variety of works on the Broomfleet Estate, including heightening and strengthening of the river embankment on the estate, and includes a specification for this work. Embankment repairs were carried out by S.H. Watts Ltd. Spalding, in 1957, and bill of quntities for this work is included. Also includes correspondence regarding repairs to existing buildings as well as the erection of a new Dutch barn at Island Farm. Notes problems with the Nature Conservancy regarding the Humber Wildfowl Refuge, at Broomfleet Island.
