- The file comprises of correspondence between the Engineer to the Humber Conservancy Board and various manufacturers and suppliers of anchors, mooring stones, and chain. This includes specifications of certain anchors, chain cable and swivels required by the Board and also includes correspondence regarding lost anchors and chains by various vessels in the River Humber and in some cases their recovery. The loss of anchors and chain appears to be an ongoing problem in the River Humber system. Test certificates for stockless chain and stud links are also included.
