- A report addressed to the Chairman of the Dock Company by R. A. Marillier (Resident Engineer) covering the following: encroachment by C. W. Earle (shipbuilders) on No. 1 Slip at Victoria Dock, a proposal for the replacement of a double rail wagon track with a single track (due to horses getting stuck in the groove), an accident due to a wagon falling onto the barque 'Euxinus', tenders for 30 cwt hydraulic cranes, the replacement of flag paving by granite setts, the completion of a 20 ton hydraulic crane at Victoria Dock, and proposals for a new 70 foot high chimney at the Dockyard and a footlathe for repairing hydraulic valves.
