Description:

A package containing papers acculmulated in connection with Aire and Calder Navigation Lease No. 53: 52–58 South Street (Even Numbers), 17 and 19 Quay Street, and 1–9 Back of South Street (Odd Numbers), including the Ferryboat Inn. It includes:

1. Counterpart of Lease for 99 years (2 August 1841): the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation to Richard Roody. It includes an inset plan showing the land and property in question. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned Leasee.

2. Memorial of Assignment of Leasehold (16 June 1898): Mary Elizabeth Patten, Emily Kate Patten, and Edith Patten to Messrs Icon Heppenstall and Harry Senior Heppenstall.

3. Memorial of Appointment (16 June 1898) of New Trustees to the Will of Thomas Duckels.

4. Docks and Inland Waterways Executive (Humber Ports): Sale of Surplus Goole Property Form (4 December 1951).
