Description:

A package containing papers accumulated in connection with Aire and Calder Navigation Lease No. 4B: property situate at the junction between George Street and Aire Street in the town of Goole, Yorkshire. It includes the following:

Deeds (1848–1876)

1. Assignment of Leasehold premises at Goole (31 March 1848): between Margaret Hamer (with the consent of the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation) and James Spilman. It includes an inset map illustrating the property in question. The Deed has been signed and sealed by the aforementioned parties, and the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation: Sir William Mordant Milner, John Spencer Stanhope, William Mordant Edward Milner, and John George Smyth.

2. Attested copy (created 20 May 1848) of Assignment of Leasehold premises at Goole (31 March 1848) between Margaret Hamer (with the consent of the Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation) and James Spilman.

3. Surrender of Leasehold premises in Goole (15 December 1876): between the Executors and Benificiaries under the Will of the late James Spilman to Andrew Montagu and others (Trustees of the Aire and Calder Navigation). The Deed has been signed and sealed by David Hill Hutchence, Charlotte Hutchence, Catherine Mary Spilman, Thomas Spilman, Jospeh Spilman, and William Aldam.
