The History Centre has many other records relating to the docks. Older ones can be located within the Borough Records (C BR), the Council Minutes (C TCM) and its various committees. These include committees such as Docks Deputation Committee (C TCDD) 1886-1890; the Docks and Parliamentary and Docks Visiting Committees (C TCDP), 1858-1859; the Dues and Docks Bill Deputation Committee (C TCDU), 1852; the Dock Room Enquiry Committee (C TCDY), 1836-1839 and the records of the inquiry by the National Ports Council into the proposed increase in port charges (C TCNP), 1981-1983.

At C CQP can be found various plans relating to the development of the docks submitted to the Quarter Sessions. In addition, other individual records can be located at C DMM/63 and other areas of C DMX, such as C DMX/10, 17/5, 48, 52, 74, 101, 150, 158, 161, 166, 172, 179 and 296.
