We fell in with smack Silver Spray on the 16th of February 884. Dismasted and took him on tow. Arrived all safe on the 18th February 1884.

August 6 1884. Running up the Humber off the Humber Dock. Collided with Steamer at anchor name unknown. Through the lights on the steamer being mistaken by us, caused by another vessel passing. Carried away the mast for the mainsail & cut one plank of the top side down & passed the anchor chain.
