Memoranda by Skipper. 29th November 1893 at midnight we fell in with a derelict barque, the Auguste Jeannette dismasted & in a water logeed condition, proceede to tow her to Hull, but had only steamed about 30 miles when, the wind being so very strong we were forced to throw her off & sail straight for home. I hereby report that E Sanderson has refused duty July 28th.
