26/2/95 North Sea. William Fenwick 3rd hand. Drowned whilst returning to the smack after boarding fish. A heavy sea caught the boats stern causing her to shoot quickly forward, his oar was in the water , the force against the blade threw him into the sea. He sank & all efforts to reach him when he rose again proved futile.
