Official Log.
May 17th Robert Rodgers had the cook down on the deck knocking him about, the mate went on deck and made him leave the lad alone. Rodger stood out in the middle of the deck and said he was ready to have a row with any bugger on board. The mate hit him in the eye and knocked him down.Whilst Rogers was down he drew a knife out of his pocket and with the mate taking the knife from him he cut 3 of his fingers and was not able to board fish for 9 days. In consequence of the bad behaviour of Robert Rodgers I have ordered his spending money to be stopped for 5 weeks.
