February 4th fell in with the Russian Barque Neptun of Wara.
February 5th 8.30am put three hands on board & commenced towing the Wara towards the Humber. Sunday February 6th 3am. Slipped the towing ropes, my crew coming on board, the captain would not leave his ship. 10am the Neptune capsized at the edge of Dogger Bank, remained floating, in very dangerous position for ships bound for the Humber. Rescued the captain, picked him up out of the water.
