7 January 1898 North Sea. James Prisick, chief engineer. Severly injured by the engines. Skull severly fractured through being caught by the crank whilst putting up a safeguard in the form of the after engine. Caused by vessel rising on a swell which turned the propellor round and so caused the crank shaft to turn.
