January 8th at sea. Thomas Smith , boatswain. Blow from wire warp breaking both legs. Died in Sir Patrick Dunns Hospital afterwards. Lost fishing gear at the same time.

January 5th, W Eaves. Bruise to leg through blow from fishing warp.

May 29th 1899. Fore part of ship on fire. Spark from lighted lamp, cook slightly burnt.
