February 21st John H Donnison ( chief engineer ) illtreated by G Walton. Struck him several blows in the face with his fists, blackening his eyes, cutting his face & forehead. Causing injury to his left shoulder, knocking him on to the reversing gear of the engines.

For the assault referred to on page 15 G Walton our trimmer was at the Court of Stornoway on the 22nd of February sentenced to 14 days imprisonment with hard labour.
