Memoranda by Skipper. We left the fishing fleet on Wednesday January 28th on account of the vessel leaking, when about 5 O'clock pm the fore stay broke. Saturday 31st. Nothing more happened until we were about one mile and a half from the Humber when the dead eye bolts broke and the mast snapped off by the deck. The vessel still leaking we had to take the assistance of tug to get to Hull.
