On October 4th about 11am our boat was boarding her fish in the steam cutter Eastward, when the smack James & Maria came in collision with the steamer and smashed our boat and fish, causing her to sink and was lost.
Record of Death or Injury.
10th Day of December about 10 O'clock pm near Killingholme coming up Humber towards Hull. James Mitchell cook drowned. It is not known whether he fell or jumped overboard.
