1st October 1905 9am North Sea. H Brewster, boatswain. Boarding cutter Jackdaw from boat, he accidentally fell overboard & was drowned.

I hereby certify that after enquiry. I am satisfied the death of H Brewster late boatswain, was due to drowning through his accidenatlly getting overboard, and further that the body being picked up in the net of the trawler Ibis & brought by her to this Port. An inquest was held and a verdict returned of accidental death.
