Record of Death or Injury.
26/7/09 St Andrews Dock Hull. James Hepworth 1st engineer. Lesion of bladder, supposed caused whilst helping to lift the tail-end shaft in dock at Hull.
19/8/09 C Powdrell, fisherman. Swelled testicle, alleged caused by strain whilst pulling on cable along the deck. 17/1/10 Atlantic Ocean. G Hill, trimmer. Strained back from carrying a bag of ashes from stokehold to deck.
Official Log.
J Hepworth was discharged at Reykjavik on August 12th owing to his injury, referred to herein. Left in Hospital there. C Powdrill, fisherman was also put ashore for medical treatment on August 28th, but returned aboard 4 days later. W T Webb, fisherman, reported feeling pains in back at 8pm 22nd October & went below unable to work. Returned to duty 2pm 25th October.
