March 24 when about 160 miles E by N half N of Spurn we sighted signals of distress we found the Christoph Hasten of Stralsund with a cew of 7 hands. At the masters request we took him & his crew on board our vessel & stood by his ship all night. Next morning of our own accord we took the vessel in tow & brought her to Hull arriving on the morning of the 27th.
