Record of Death or Injury.
Thomas Green 2nd Hand. 25th May 1888 North Sea. Drowned. Our own boat had been lost alongside the fish cutter & the three members of our crew including the deceased who had occupied it were being carried back to their own vessel in the Boat belonging to smack Violet of Hull when a sea suddenly struck her swamping her causing her to capsize. The occupants, six in all were immersed and before assistance arrived Thomas Green was drowned as well as John Kemp 3rd hand of the Violet.
